New car sales increase by 12%

Last month the number of new car sales raised by 12% with 76,958 cars being purchased. Motor industry bosses said the UK car market’s ‘sustained expansion’ is ‘the longest ever seen’, easily beating the previous record of 26 months set between May 1987 and June 1989.

SMMT chief executive Mike Hawes said:

“Three years of continuous growth in the new car market is remarkable and reflects the strong upturn in the confidence of UK car buyers since the recession. These encouraging figures for the car industry have been led by increasing confidence in the economy, alluring finance deals and the notable fuel-efficiency of the current crop of cars”.

The Top seller in February was the Ford Fiesta followed by the Volkswagen Golf, Vauxhall Corsa, Vauxhall Astra, Ford Focus, Nissan Qashqai, Vauxhall Insignia, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A3 and Fiat 500.

T4media has worked with many of these top sellers and most recently TrustFord to create strategically placed advertising campaigns. Dealerships using AdNozzles are able to reach 100% of the motorists on the petrol forecourts where they advertise.

It appears the growth of new car registrations shows no sign of slowing down. Join the new car revolution and make your dealership unmissable with T4media.
