Normally I prefer bus backs for our rural showrooms, but they weren’t available. I wasn’t convinced that you can sell new cars on AdNozzles, but we gave it a try. Two prospects walked on to the site asking for the free fuel offer within hours of each other. Our AdNozzles advertising campaign was so effective, I re-booked it for an additional 28 weeks! We had tried all the traditional advertising methods, and were really not overly impressed with lacklustre results. We then tried advertising at our local supermarket petrol forecourt – the initial results were impressive and we could see the potential for further promotion in this way. In fact, we were so happy with our 8 week campaign, that we re-booked for a further 28 weeks. This campaign was an exciting time for us, trying out petrol nozzle advertising for the first time. It’s so relevant for communicating directly with our local customers. Initially we chose the nearest forecourt to our garage and had an amazing number of people filling up over the 8 week period. Every pump nozzle displayed our business details, so every motorist that filled up could see our name. This made us really stand out from other local garages. The primary target buyers for the new Mercedes Vito were identified as taxi drivers, so it was essential that a campaign was planned to connect with the right audience, rather than just being treated as a standard new model launch. AdNozzles were quickly highlighted as a tactical way to engage with taxi drivers, as they fill up regularly, ensuring a high frequency across two four week bursts. With a full UK network to choose from, another important element was the choice of locations to target. The flexibility of AdNozzles meant that a campaign could be built up in specific towns / regions and in this case, 58 forecourts located in close proximity to airports were chosen. We chose AdNozzles in proximity to airports for this new model launch as they were the right fit, both in terms of frequency and location. They enabled us to target taxi drivers as they filled up their vehicles during airport runs and effectively communicate the benefits of the new Mercedes Vito.
